I'm a Lubbock native and now a private practice owner. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington D.C. Campus. I've worked in the mental health field since 2014 and became a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate in 2024.

I've worked with trauma my whole career. I've worked with children who've experienced physical and sexual abuse. I've created and refined trainings for community agencies to enhance their staff's capabilities. Outside of my practice, I manage a program working with incarcerated people experiencing psychosis. I've done a lot of things for a lot of people, but you probably want to know what I can do for you. Honestly, it depends on what you are looking for. Building a relationship with a therapist is exactly like every other relationship. It takes time, a lot of trust, and a leap of faith. So let me tell you about myself and my work to help you make a decision about trusting me with your healing.

My focus has always been, and will continue to be, trauma work. I've seen from working with children how impactful traumatic events can be on the developing brain. In my work with adults, I see how untreated trauma can continue the patterns of abuse, addiction, and loss of supportive relationships. People who have experienced trauma are often caught in a loop of behaviors and beliefs that might have protected them at one point but have lost their functionality and usefulness.

Because of this, it was my first goal once I became licensed to become trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a model specifically designed to help reprocess and reintegrate the beliefs a person takes from a traumatic experience and help them move forward with a more constructive outlook. I have completed the 50-hour Level One EMDR training and am excited to continue to grow in this modality. While I am still new to this technique, I have already seen clients take strides in their healing.

As I've continued in my practice, I've found I enjoy working

with boundaries, people-pleasing, and relationships. Strong, healthy relationships are what make life joyful and exciting. However, they can take dedicated effort and work when things get difficult. Many people can struggle to practice healthy boundaries or conflict resolution. Some people aren't aware of how their actions might continue the patterns they want to break. I have greatly enjoyed helping people fight for healthy, supportive relationships.

I expect that my areas of interest and expertise will continue to grow with my practice. My goal is to help each of my clients work toward the life they find the most fulfilling. I'm excited to see you in my chair and talk about what I can do for you.
